ADNET clients, partners, team and business community collected 765 pounds of donations and thousands of dollars to benefit Southington Bread for Life

November 19, 2019: ADNET Technologies worked with clients, industry partners, local businesses and its team of employees to raise non-perishable product donations and monetary contributions to benefit Southington Bread for Life (“Bread for Life”). The drive began in July of 2019, culminating at ADNET’s Annual Client Appreciation Event on Wednesday, November 6th, where Southington Bread for Life was onsite to receive the donations.

This year was the tenth annual food that ADNET has hosted for the local community coinciding with its Chili Cook-Off event. Throughout this year’s food drive, ADNET and the business community collected over 765 pounds of donations, comprised of over 1,000 non-perishable food items and toiletries for Southington Bread for Life. The company also collected $1,925 dollars in monetary donations. At the event, several clients presented financial donations on behalf of their businesses, as well as donated items collected at their internal food drives held in support of ADNET’s Community Food Drive.

“This event is absolutely one of our favorite ways to give back,” said Christopher Luise, Co-CEO of ADNET Technologies. “Seeing everyone come together in this way – partners, clients, and our team – all unified in helping the same cause, is truly awe inspiring. Walking into our office each day and seeing tables overflowing with donations makes me so proud to be surrounded by such generosity. It never ceases to amaze me, even going on ten years.”

Donna Ayer, Executive Director of Bread for Life said, “We are so very grateful for the generosity shown to Bread for Life from our friends at ADNET. Their employees, vendors, and friends were so generous with food and monetary donations.”

About Southington Bread for Life

Southington Bread for Life is a nonprofit organization that provides meals, social interaction, and a well-stocked food pantry in order to feed thousands of people each year who qualify for supplemental food. The organization gives back to the community through various food pantries, senior meal, school support, and a lunch program consisting of hot, full course meals served at noon, Monday through Saturday. A dinner program is available on Wednesday nights at 6:00 PM, which encourages people to bring their families. The Bread for Life team also provides each person with a bagged, take-home meal. Bread for Life offers a mobile food pantry, bringing food items to neighborhoods and allowing people to “grocery shop” for the items they need, and meal delivery for the homebound. In 2018, Bread for Life served more than 35,000 meals in all its programs and an additional 3,000 lunches in the children’s summer lunch program.
